WOMACK

NAME: Womack
COUNTY: McClain
ROADS: 4WD
GRID: 2
CLIMATE: Oklahoma... you never know.
BEST TIME TO VISIT: Anytime. Nothing to see at this site though.
COMMENTS: The town was about 3 miles SE of Blanchard. The location that the town was in is on private property. I am looking for info if anyone has any.
REMAINS: Nothing. It is now a wheat field.
All I can find is that it was named after John Womack and there was a Post Office from 1899-1909. The town had a general store, church/school, saloon, grain mill, and a blacksmith. The town broke up when Blanchard was formed. Submitted by: Zack
