NAME: Zena COUNTY: Delaware ROADS: 2WD GRID: 3 CLIMATE: Hot, humid summers, usually mild winters BEST TIME TO VISIT: Anytime

COMMENTS: I was raised about 3 miles from Zena.Early in my life I remember it had a post office, a grade school(grades 1-8), 2 grocery stores which are now closed, and a Baptist church. The post office and school are now gone. There is a new community building. REMAINS: 2 grocery stores, church - Still large farming area but converting into lake-tourist with Grand Lake access

Zena was populated by only 2 families; the John Hamptons and the Roy Kellys. Roy ran the post office until it closed. A fellow that I went to school with by the name of Tommy Williams lived across the road from Roy Kelly's store but I dont think that was close enough to qualify as being a citizen of Zena Submitted by: Carl Hale
