I went out that way the day the fire started. I asked someone in the gas station in Goshen about the fire right after I heard about it on the radio, and he said that he heard they evacuated Mammouth. I don't know if it actually burned though. I drove through Eureka from Vernon on my way home from camping and the fire hadn't done any damage there. I haven't heard any updates since. With the huge area that burned though, there has to be a lot of ghost town structures that burned because they are all over in those mountains.
