I remember camping by this area. the pool was ok, but someone dug out a pool up the stream that was like a little jacuzzi. Really hit the spot after fourwheelin' in March and the eve. air is quite crisp. I now live in CO - a large reason for me leaving CA was the load of crap going on w/ the govt --> can't do this , don't go there, oh by the way 6 million acres are now off limits! No good reason they say to "protect" the environment for future generations - too bad they will NEVER have a chance to see it, they will probably have even less area available to them. I think the gov't is WAY out of touch - who could possibly walk any distance in death valley in the extremes of either summer or winter?

: : What is the reasoning behind wanting to bulldoze Warm Springs? I thought all that land inside the Monument was protected. Can a park superintendant just arbitrarily decide to bulldoze a site. This is scarry if they have the authority to do something like that. My husband and I love to travel the back roads in the monument. We will do our bit to help!
: Unfortunately, whether the park service really has the authority or not to bulldoze things, they do. There are many examples of this in Arizona such as Burro John, or Kentucks Cabin and more in the Bradshaw Mountains. Sure would like to know why they have that type of authority!
